IT HAS BEGIN! It’s a new world, a new campaign, and a new game master at the helm but WE’RE. JUST. GETTING. STARTED.
Travis Willingham, Marisha Ray, Matthew Mercer, AND our Game Master of Campaign Four Brennan Lee Mulligan are here to share exactly what you can expect from this epic new adventure!
With Campaign Four, we’re venturing beyond our world of Exandria to explore the uncharted lands of Aramán. So whether you’ve been here for a decade or are just discovering Critical Role for the first time, you can jump right in for an epic new story.
Hero to many. Enemy to some. When Thjazi Fang is marked for execution, various figures from across his remarkable life unite to uncover the truth behind his grim fate. In a land still suffering from the fallout of dead gods and living in the shadow of a tumultuous rebellion, these disparate people will come together across the fractured world of Aramán and connect in ways they never imagined.
As hope and victory fade, a question hangs over Aramán: without the Gods, what great deeds now fall to us? And who, or what, shall grab their crown for themselves?
Campaign Four will follow the tradition of our previous three campaigns – nerdy-ass voice actors playing Dungeons and Dragons.
However, this time we’ll be playing with 2024 rules! You’ll even see a few custom subclasses thanks to Jeremy Crawford and Chris Perkins – our newest members of Darrington Press. We have lots of surprises in store.
We’ll also be switching the format of Campaign Four to a West Marches style campaign! The first four episodes will serve as our Overture – we’ll set up the story and introduce the characters before breaking off into smaller groups, allowing you to explore this vast and wondrous world through the perspectives of three distinct rotating tables: the valiant Soldiers, the vigorous Seekers, and the veiled Schemers. As their fates intertwine, this allows us to delve deeper into Aramán – a world of wonder with sorcery stemming from the graveyard of the gods.
You’ll surely recognize this style of storytelling featuring multiple groups of protagonists from iconic fantasy tales like The Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones.
Campaign Four of Critical Role follows a stellar cast of players including Laura Bailey, Luis Carazo, Robbie Daymond, Aabria Iyengar, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer, Whitney Moore, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, Alexander Ward, and Travis Willingham, with Brennan Lee Mulligan weaving this grand tale as our Game Master.
Luis Carazo is an actor with appearances on TV shows like S.W.A.T., NCIS: LA, Criminal Minds, and Grey’s Anatomy. Film credits include Of Hearts and Castles, Suicide Sam, and Casa de mi Padre with Will Ferrell. He’s previously appeared on Critical Role’s ExU Calamity and Candela Obscura, and voices Zerxus Ilerez on The Legend of Vox Machina. He can be seen behind the screen as dungeon master in Tales Unrolled, as a cast member on the Cast Party podcast, and you can watch him in the newly released television series Butterfly with Daniel Dae Kim and Piper Perabo.
Robbie Daymond is a Los Angeles–based actor with a rich background in voiceover, storytelling, and performance across stage and screen. Over the past two decades, he has become a fan favorite voice in animation, anime, audiobooks, and video games, portraying characters such as Tuxedo Mask in Sailor Moon, Akechi in Persona 5, Spider-Man in Marvel’s Spider-Man, Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, Vergil in Devil May Cry, Prompto in Final Fantasy XV, and, of course, Dorian Storm in Critical Role. Beyond his acting work, Robbie is the co-creator of the hit game Date Everything! and co-owner of Sassy Chap Games.
Aabria Iyengar is a storyteller, performer, writer and podcaster, as well as a trailblazing force in the world of liveplay tabletop role-playing games. In addition to her groundbreaking roles as both player and gamemaster on prominent TTRPG platforms like Critical Role and Dimension 20, she has made appearances in both capacities on Dungeons & Dragons The Twenty-Sided Tavern both Off-Broadway and on its national tour. She is the author of the comic book THE FADE with artist Mari Costa, and co-founder of the acclaimed podcast Worlds Beyond Number. A sought-after collaborator and guest, Aabria has contributed her talents as a performer to a diverse range of projects, from Apple TV’s Mythic Quest to the hit game, Starfield.
Whitney Moore was born at a very young age and lives in a near constant state of revelry in the fully constant state of California. You may know her from that one movie about birds, or you may have seen her talking about comics, games, horror movies and heavy metal on the internet, or you might have even seen her moderate a CR panel or two. She is an actress, writer, director, emcee, burlesque performer, tarot reader, good kisser, better cryer, and consumer of every good food she can get her grubby mitts on. It’s an honor just to be nominated!
Alexander Ward is an actor specializing in monsters and inhuman characters. He has appeared in films such as Salem’s Lot and Annabelle Comes Home, along with shows like Skeleton Crew, Westworld, and Spongebob SquarePants. A lover of TTRPs since he was a kid, he has had the opportunity to portray characters on shows such as Candela Obscura, LA and NY by Night, EXU:Divergence and is the Storyteller for the show Private Nightmares.
Brennan Lee Mulligan is an actor, comedian, writer, producer and showrunner, as well as a partner at the comedy streaming platform, Dropout. He is one of the most visible figures in the tabletop role playing space and executive produces, showruns and hosts Dropout’s actual play tabletop show, Dimension 20, which recently sold out upwards of 20,000 tickets at Madison Square Garden in under five minutes.
In addition to his work on Dimension 20, Mulligan stars in the actual play podcast, Worlds Beyond Number, the most pre-launch subscribed podcast on Patreon to date and the #1 fiction podcast in the U.S. upon its release. Together with his wife, Izzy Roland, Mulligan also performs in Bigger! With Brennan and Izzy, a live improv show that has delighted audiences worldwide by transforming quirky real-life stories into hilarious improvised scenes. Mulligan is also a frequent improviser, collaborator and producer on other fan-favorite Dropout properties like Game Changer, Make Some Noise, and Very Important People.
In addition to his work on Dimension 20, Mulligan expanded his role in the tabletop roleplaying universe by serving as Dungeon Master for Critical Role’s celebrated campaigns Exandria Unlimited: Calamity and Exandria Unlimited: Divergence.
