Bolaire Lathalia is as true as the mask he wears – literally. Bolaire IS his mask, wearing a body that is not truly his. He is currently the curator of the Archanade, a museum in Dol-Makjar. His dearest friend is Hal, but he was forced to lie to him for years due to his criminal dealings with Hal’s brother, Thjazi. Bolaire does not wish to keep his true self a secret, but knows that few would understand what it is like to be a character in a play that finally is living his own life. And Bolaire will do anything to keep that life his own.
